On a Sunday afternoon my family and I stopped at Firehouse Subs for lunch. We arrived hungry and left very satisfied and happy. When we walked in, there was an array of clean tables and chairs, as we were the first ones to start the lunch rush.
The food itself is very tasty. My husband got the Italian sub: Salami, pepperoni, ham, provolone. I got the Hook & Ladder: Turkey, honey ham, monterey jack.
The bread is slightly toasted, almost like warm bread, which tasted extremely fresh and soft. The bread to meat ratio was perfect with an equal amount of both in every bite. The added bonus if you’re like me and love pickles: A pickle spear on the side! (Try the sandwich “fully involved” and get mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a kosher dill on the side.)
The kids had a great time because of the modern looking Coke Freestyle Machine that they chose their lemonade from. They also liked that the chips were at eye level and that they got a free fireman hat!

This is so much more than a tasty sandwich place. You can donate money that will help to provide funding, resources, and support for the heroes whose job it is to help those in an emergency. Firemen and Police officers put their lives at stake for everyone in need. Why not give back to the community of first responders? Drop a few bucks in the fireman boot or choose to have your extra change from your payment go toward the donation.
